Girls Varsity Golf · West girls in third at state

  Place Points
West Albany High School 3rd 403

After the first day of the state tournament the West Albany Bulldog Girls Golf Team is in third place having shot a 403 team score.
Crater leads with a 387 and Pendleton is close behind at 388.
The Bulldogs enjoyed the experience today and will look to play well tomorrow and see what happens.
“The girls were amazing today,” coach Matt Boase said.
“They were the perfect combination of relaxed and focused. It’s a really tough course, but they played it smart and scored well.”
Anna Schweitzer led the Bulldogs with an 84. That score puts her in fourth, four shots behind the leader.
Hannah McClure fired a 95 to help place the Bulldogs near the top of the leaderboard.
Jayden Cook’s 111, Madi White’s 113 and Lexi Chido’s 115 filled out the scoring for West.
“Anna led the way and played great, but Hannah’s score is pretty impressive as well,” Boase said. “This is a long course, and she was very close to her scores at Districts, which was a much easier set up. It’s great to see these girls playing so well in their senior year.”
